Donald Trump has a history of controversial statements, but perhaps none are as controversial as those regarding his eldest daughter Ivanka Trump. Clearly, Donald has a close relationship with Ivanka, as she is one of the most trusted members of his inner circle. He even made her a senior adviser when he became president.
But Donald Trump has said some weirdly inappropriate things about Ivanka over the years. Don’t believe it? Here are eight times when Donald Trump was completely inappropriate toward his daughter.
Donald can’t stop talking about Ivanka’s body
Imagine that a man is describing a woman. He says she is “voluptuous” and has the “best body.” He agrees with a man who calls her “a piece of ass.” All of this usually adds up to a man who is lusting after a woman. Sadly, all of these are things Donald Trump has said about Ivanka.
These comments come from various Trump interviews with Howard Stern over the years. Stern prides himself on being an old-school “shock jock” and was always good about getting Donald to talk about the weirdest things. This created a perfect digital record of Donald being a real creep about Ivanka.
That awkward hip pat at the RNC
The next item could be innocent, or maybe just awkward. But given everything else Trump has said about his daughter, the whole thing looks pretty creepy.
Before he was elected as president, Ivanka introduced her dad to the Republican National Convention. When Donald joined her on stage, they hugged and kissed… and then Trump seemed to grab her butt before she left the stage.
Some of Trump’s defenders claimed this was nothing more than an awkward hip pat. But considering that Trump has previously agreed with Howard Stern that Ivanka is “a piece of ass,” it didn’t look good.
Donald allegedly compared Ivanka to Stormy Daniels
Donald Trump has had many so many controversies that it’s difficult to pick the biggest one. Near the top of the list, though, would be his alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels and the subsequent expensive alleged coverup. What, though, could make Donald look worse than cheating on Melania with a porn star right after his wife gave birth to their son Barron?
Well, in a 2018 interview with CNN, Stormy Daniels claimed Trump told her “you remind me of my daughter.” Later, another alleged Trump conquest (and Playboy bunny) Karen McDougal claimed Trump compared her to Ivanka as well.
It’s possible Donald is just a proud dad. But he can be proud without continuously comparing his daughter to his alleged mistresses.
If Donald wasn’t Ivanka’s father…
Much of Donald Trump’s controversies come from the wild (and downright weird) things that he says. But would you believe one of his creepiest moments came from a time when he finally stopped talking?
In 2015, Trump was being interviewed by Rolling Stone Magazine. When the writer praised Ivanka, Trump suddenly said “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father…”
Mercifully, Donald didn’t finish this particular thought. Unfortunately, the conclusion seems pretty obvious: if he wasn’t her father, Trump would be dating his own daughter.

Way back in 2006, Donald Trump appeared on The View with Ivanka. To spice up the discussion, Star Jones threw Trump an admittedly-insane question: what would he do if Ivanka posed nude for Playboy magazine?
It started out innocently enough, with Trump saying that despite her “very nice figure,” Ivanka wouldn’t pose inside the magazine. But then he blurted out, “I’ve said that if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
Ivanka was onscreen at the same time, watching her dad creep on her to the entire world. Joy Behar even remarked, “What are you, Woody Allen?”
Donald’s creepy comment on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’
That View question could be considered an example of a “gotcha” question. Someone asked Donald Trump a salacious question and then acted shocked when she got a salacious answer. Unfortunately, Trump has the ability to make even softball questions highly creepy.
In 2013, Donald and Ivanka went on The Wendy Williams Show. Williams asked each of them what they had in common with one another. While Ivanka said “either real estate or golf,” Trump claimed, “Well, I was going to say sex, but I can’t relate that to her.”
It’s an answer that seems fairly insane even in context. And it seems proof that when it comes to Ivanka, Donald can’t help but be inappropriate.
That time ‘Dr. Oz’ edited out Donald’s comment about kissing Ivanka
This next one is a bit like the hip-grabbing incident. That is, some may claim it’s innocent, but it seems a bit weird given everything else that we know about Donald’s thoughts toward Ivanka.
In 2016, Donald and Ivanka appeared on The Dr. Oz Show. Ivanka gave her father a kiss on the cheek after walking out on stage. “It’s nice to see a dad kiss his daughter,” Dr. Oz said.
Trump then mentioned that he likes to kiss Ivanka “as often as I can.” The show edited this comment out of the broadcast, but we know about it thanks to weirded-out audience members.
Donald’s creepiest Ivanka comment of all
In 2016, a draft of Richard Cohen’s weekly political column for The Washington Post circulated with a shocking comment Trump allegedly said, according to Buzzfeed.
“‘Can I ask you something?’ Trump asked someone I know, about his then-13-year-old kid, ‘Is it wrong to be more sexually attracted to your own daughter than your wife?'”
The line was curiously removed from Cohen’s column before the final draft was published. The Washington Post’s comment to Buzzfeed on the removed line? “We don’t think it would be fair to our writers to discuss the editing process, and don’t see what is to be gained by talking about things that are not published.”
