Is “Bennifer” back?
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are reportedly hanging out together in Los Angeles following her recent split with Alex Rodriguez, according to sources speaking to Page Six.
Lopez, 51, is back home in Los Angeles after filming her upcoming movie Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic. Affleck and Lopez have not been seen together, but Affleck has allegedly visited her three times since she returned to Los Angeles.
Sources say Affleck is picked up at a location near Lopez’s Bel Air mansion in a white Escalade SUV that allegedly belongs to Lopez. “Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house,” an insider told Page Six.
But are Lopez and Affleck rekindling their romance? Not according to insiders. “They are friends,” a source told Page Six. “They’ve never not been.”
The first visit took place on April 22, sources say, when Affleck was spotted visiting the Hotel Bel-Air, dropped off by a white SUV that later drove Lopez and one of her associates to a business meeting.
Then, Affleck was reportedly spotted leaving Lopez’s Bel Air home on April 28.
The most recent meeting reportedly took place on April 29, when Affleck was photographed leaving his car at the Hotel Bel-Air. He was then picked up by a white SUV to go to Lopez’s house. He was photographed again when he returned to the hotel three and a half hours later, dropped off by the same SUV.
This isn’t the only ex-partner Lopez has been in touch with since announcing she and Rodriguez had called off their engagement on April 15. Despite their breakup, she was spotted at the same Hotel Bel-Air having dinner with Rodriguez on April 23, according to Page Six. And reportedly her ex-husband Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 13-year-old twins Emme and Max, visited her while she was filming in the Dominican Republic, where insiders claim he was a “comforting” presence.
Like Lopez, Affleck also ended a high-profile relationship this year. He split with actress Ana de Armas in January after nearly a year of dating.
Affleck and Lopez got engaged in 2002 but their whirlwind relationship ended in 2004. In a recent InStyle magazine interview, Affleck praised Lopez for her work ethic and beauty. “She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business,” he said.
“Where are you keeping the fountain of youth?” he added. “Why do you look the same as you did in 2003 and it kind of looks like I’m in my 40s… at best?”
