Alex Rodriguez is not having as much luck as Jennifer Lopez with romance following their breakup in April after a two-year engagement.
According to a source speaking to The U.S. Sun, Rodriguez, 45, has “reached out” to Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy, 30, since he and Lopez called it quits. But LeCroy has “always rolled her eyes and ignored him.”
Rodriguez “most recently wanted to hang out at the PGA Championship in South Carolina last week” because “he knew she’d be there and he had friends there so it was a good excuse to be in the same place,” the insider claimed.
But LeCroy had nothing to do with Rodriguez. “She’s completely over it,” the source said. Instead, she attended the event with a female friend, sharing a photo of the two of them on Instagram.
“Alex didn’t end up showing,” the insider said. “Not sure what he’s looking for. It’s always seemed casual but she definitely does not want a relationship with him.”
Meanwhile, a rep for Rodriguez denied the World Series champ reached out to the Bravo star. “I’m not sure who’s looking to benefit from these types of rumors and false stories,” Rodriguez’s spokesman Ron Berkowitz told The U.S. Sun. “They are factually incorrect. Alex is busy concentrating on his businesses and his family.”
Earlier this year, Rodriguez was speculated to be cheating on Lopez with LeCroy following accusations that came to light during the Southern Charm reunion special on Bravo in January, when she was accused of hooking up with an “ex-MLB player.”
Although Bravo bleeped the name of the baseball player, LeCroy later confirmed to Page Six the show was referring to Rodriguez. LeCroy denied a physical relationship with Rodriguez but admitted they had been in touch on social media and FaceTimed each other.
“He contacted me. And yes, we DMed,” she said on the reunion. “But other than that, there was nothing. I’ve never physically seen him, touched him.”
The revelations on Bravo caused a scandal and reportedly led to the breakup between Rodriguez and Lopez.
“The Madison LeCroy scandal was the reason they finally broke up,” a source told Page Six in March. “There were already problems, but Jennifer was really embarrassed by it.”
Since her split with Rodriguez, Lopez has rekindled her 17-year-old romance with Ben Affleck. The pair famously known as “Bennifer” when they were engaged from 2002–2004 was spotted kissing at a Miami gym earlier this week.
