Scarlett Johansson has given birth to her first child with husband Colin Jost, a son named Cosmo.
Jost, 39, announced the birth of their son on Instagram Wednesday morning.
“Ok ok we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much. Privacy would greatly appreciated,” the Saturday Night Live star wrote.
The couple, who got married in October 2020, has yet to release any photos of Cosmo, who is Jost’s first child.
Johansson, 36, has another child with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, a six-year-old daughter named Rose.
Rumors of Johansson’s pregnancy surfaced in June when she did not appear at any in-person promotional events for Black Widow, a surprising move considering she starred in and executive produced the film. Instead, she did interviews through Zoom — shot from the shoulders up — for appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe star is currently embroiled in a major legal battle with Disney. She is suing the company, alleging that Disney breached her contract when it released Black Widow on its Disney+ streaming service the same day the film came out in theaters. Johansson is set to lose $50 million in bonuses due to lost box office receipts. Disney denies any wrongdoing.
